Our worship services focus on praising God through our songs, prayers, and response to His Word, the Bible.
Services are approximately 75 minutes long (10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.).
The sermons are about 35 minutes in length. We primarily preach verse by verse through books of the Bible (something you may hear called expository preaching), with occasional topical studies that last for a few weeks to help us grow in a particular area of following Christ.
Presently, Pastor Grady is teaching verse by verse through the book of James in the New Testament.
Previously, we studied through the Psalms, Ephesians and the Gospel of John, as well as did a study on "What is Biblical Community?"
We use the English Standard Version (ESV) of the Bible in our worship services.
Our praise time in song typically includes five congregational songs during the service. Words will be on the screen for you. Our music is led by our worship leader, Ashley, and one of Gateway's praise teams that includes people playing a variety of instruments. Our songs tend to be more contemporary in feel, but also very theological and focused on glorifying God. We post on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter our worship service order each week so you can reflect on the text and even think about song lyrics before you arrive.
People tend to dress more casually at Gateway. You may see a few people in "Sunday dress," but most come in business casual, with some very casual as well!
