For many years, Gateway members Daniel and Sophie Burton have done campouts twice a year with their family and friends.  They want to invite you, Gateway family, to join them this year to build community with the body of Christ.  Feel free to join them just for the day, for some of the nights, or for the entire time! It will be an exciting weekend of fellowship, encouragement, and the outdoors!  Advanced registration is required (see below).  Here are the details:

CAMP LOCATION

Poplar Point Camp (approximately one hour drive from Montgomery)

CAMPING OPTIONS & COST:

There are several "lodging" options for this campout, and the cost varies depending on what you choose.  Your options are:

• Tent camping is $5 per person per night and caps at $20 per tent per night. Children who are 8 years or younger are free!
• Dormitory camping is $35 per person per night. The dormitory bunks are not furnished with linens. Children who are 6 years or younger are free!
  
• RV pricing is dependent on availability. Poplar Point has said that 2-3 sites are available, but they will need to be contacted directly to ask about pricing. After finalizing cost and availability, fill out the sign-up form and contact Sophie to confirm one of those 2-3 open sites so she knows how many are filled.
  
• Please feel free to day camp as well! You can contact Poplar Point at (256) 377-2606 or Sophie Burton to find out if there is a fee for the day.
  
  
• FACILITY NOTES:
  • The campground does not have many outlets for electricity, so if you need one, please sign up early and let Sophie know to put you down for a plug.
  • Other than the water attached to the RV sites and a spigot on the bathhouse, there is no running water outside of the bathhouse, so please plan accordingly. The spigot is sufficient for dish washing, though it is a short walk. 
    
    

THE SCHEDULE

The weekend will be unplanned! We will play games, share meals, and enjoy campfires together. There will be a casual church service on Sunday at 10:00am.   This simple time of worship and sharing about God’s faithfulness is always so special!

The registration deadline is October 14.

Sophie and Daniel Burton will be hosting this event, and are writing a check to cover the invoice for everyone staying.  After you register below, please pay your cost via Venmo @Sophie-OBurton or pay by cash before October 14.  If you miss this date, please contact Sophie directly about payment.
