- Students in grades 7-12 have their youth Bible study.
- For the adults, we will have a church-wide prayer gathering once a month. On the other weeks, small group studies are available for men and women....
FOR MEN - THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD
Facilitated by William Foxx, Jeff Hand, and Grady Smith
Gym Building, Room 4
God has graciously revealed Himself to us, and shown us His attributes (His nature). This semester we will use Mark Jone's book, God Is, to help us think about some of God's attributes. Each week we will spend the first half of our time together looking at Scripture to understand that aspect of God's nature. For the last part of the evening, we will use our discussion of God's perfections to help us more clearly see our own imperfection, sin, and frailty, and let that reality help us more clearly understand our desperate need for God and His grace. Finally, we will set aside time each week to pray with and for one another. The men's group is a great opportunity to go deep into God's Word and grow in community.
FOR WOMEN - TRUSTING GOD
Facilitated by Jenn Hand
Gym Building, Room 1
Life will be hard. God has never promised us an easy path. However, over and over in Scripture, God assures us that He is sovereign over all things, including all that we walk through. If we really understand that truth, it will radically reshape our lives. This semester we will look at that topic and think together about questions like: Can we really trust God? How do we grow in the hardships of life? What do we do when life is hard? To guide our discussion, each week on our own we will read a chapter of Jerry Bridge's book, Trusting God. Wen we come together on Wednesday evening, we will discuss that chapter, growing together and encouraging each other to trust in God's providence and sovereignty. We also will set aside time each week to pray with and for one another.
FOR EVERYONE - MONTHLY PRAYER GATHERING
On the first Wednesday of each month (January 7, February 4, March 4, April 1, and May 6), our men's and women's studies, along with our youth, will join together in the sanctuary for a church-wide prayer gathering led by our elders. These prayer gatherings will help us seek the Lord together as we pray for one another, for our church, for our community, and for global needs as well.
