
Gateway members,
As a congregational church, the accountability for what we do rests with you, not with a denomination or group outside of Gateway. As such, we gather once a year for an annual member meeting.
Because we want each of you to participate, we will be holding it after the worship service on Sunday, December 7, when you already are on campus.
What about lunch?
Please note - The format for lunch will be different that in previous years. As you know, over the past month, we have begun "The Gathering," where many from the Gateway family pack their own lunch, or run pick up something then come back, and eat together for fellowship, prayer, and intentional conversations each week after the worship service. On December 7, we are asking all of our members to do that! Pack a picnic or sack lunch for you and your family, and plan to stay and fellowship. We will eat together either outside or in the gym immediately after the service at 12:00.
Attendees and visitors are welcome to bring a lunch and join us for this fellowship time.
What about the meeting?
At 12:45, we will gather back in the sanctuary for the annual member meeting. We value this opportunity to share with you what is happening at Gateway and where we are headed in the upcoming year.
And yes, we will discuss and ask you to approve the proposed 2026 budget, which is an important part of congregational accountability in the church. A summary of that proposed budget will be emailed to all members on November 24, and copies of the full line-by-line budget will be available in the church office beginning that day as well for those who have further questions about it.
We want to encourage - and boldly ask - that every member make it a priority to attend.
Please note - This meeting is for members only and their immediate families.
Those in the membership process are welcome to attend and listen to what is discussed.
What about childcare?
Childcare is NOT provided during the meeting. Children and teenagers are welcome to remain with you in the sanctuary for the meeting. If your children are not able to do so, we will have the gym open during this time. However, one parent will need to remain with their children in the gym to supervise them, while the other parent participates in the member meeting. Supervised childcare is not available during this time.
