Join us on Wednesday, December 3, as we kick off our Gateway Christmas fellowships! We begin this special time of year with an event for all ages and walks of life: Carols, Cookies, and Cards for Kenya!
We will meet in the gymnasium on Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. Bring a plate of your favorite Christmas cookies (or other favorite dessert!) to share. We will have cards available for you to mark any allergy notes if it is gluten free, nut free, etc. so those with dietary needs know what they can eat. Popcorn and hot chocolate will be provided! We will sample each other's favorite Christmas treats while we enjoy the time together.
While together we will sing a mix of traditional and funny Christmas carols.
We also will take time to make homemade "back to school" cards both for the children who live at Mescal's in Kenya, and for their teachers, to encourage them as they arrive a few weeks after Christmas to start the new school year. The start of the new year can be stressful for them, so we want to send them some notes of encouragement! The names (and pictures) of specific teachers and kids will be available so you know to whom who you are sending a card.
