On Sunday, August 9, it will be time for our kids to move up for Promotion Sunday! In addition to the special opportunity that morning, there will also be a Family Nerf Battle that afternoon!
Gateway Kids, toddlers through 5th grade, will move up to their new classes and rooms.
We will be continuing with our Gospel Project for Kids curriculum as we explore God's Word and how Jesus is in every story of the Bible.!
SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY CLASSES
Here is a quick look at where your child will be on Sundays for Bible Study time (9:00 -10:15) in this new school year and who their primary teacher will be:
- Babies – Joy Coon and Jessica Paulk
- Toddlers – TBD
- 3’s – Carrie Davis
- Pre-K – Kaitlyn Love
- Kindergarten – TBD
- 1st & 2nd Grade – Hillary Bray and Julia Smith
- 3rd & 4th Grade – Lori Smart
- 5th & 6th Grade – TBD
WORSHIP SERVICE DETAILS FOR 1st - 6th GRADES
- At 10:15 a.m., all 1st to 6th graders will be picked up from their Bible study classrooms by their parent and brought into the main service to worship with the congregation.
- After the intercessory prayer time, and just before the sermon, 1st to 4th graders are welcome to attend Kids Worship (except for 5th Sundays and special holiday weeks when they remain the entire service)
- Newly promoted 5th graders will remain in the main service with their parents the entire time. We are so excited to see them take this next step!
- Pick-up for Kids Worship (1st to 4th grades) will be in room 7 on the blue hallway in the gym building immediately after the service by the parents.
SUPPORTING THE TEACHERS
Our teachers are a vital part of Gateway's mission to disciple the next generation - and they need your support! We invite every parent to:
- Pray regularly for your child’s teacher
- Ask how you can support them - Could you step in as a substitute, help with a special event, or bring supplies or snacks?
- Encourage them with a note, a coffee, or simply your presence
We want every teacher to know they are deeply loved and connected—not serving alone, but thriving as part of the Gateway family.
